What we stand for
Transparency
Hiring a nanny into your home is a two way street and should be the start of an amazing relationship for parents, nannies and children alike.
We think that current services do half a job. Often, families are unsure about the basics of what is required when employing someone and nannies are often left in the dark until they turn up on day one.
We want to challenge the status quo by using years of experience built up in corporate environments to professionalise the nanny recruitment industry.
Trust
We feel that there is a gap at present where nannies and families are not fully vetted before being matched.
We want to focus on the small things that make a massive difference to the day to day working environment for both parties.
Families should be fully assured that any nanny working through Arthur’s House is legally compliant and has impeccable references.
Nannies should be able to trust that jobs they get from us are with the right people, with the basic rights they require and provide them with the right working environment.
Support
Employing people can be complicated. Legalities are ever changing and things can go wrong.
We see a massive gap in the ongoing support that most agencies are currently providing to their clients.
We want families and nannies to have a place to turn to when they have questions and concerns. We will act as a virtual HR department for you through the duration of your placement.

Katie Hulbert-Powell
FOUNDER
Katie has over 18 years experience in HR, People and Talent acquisition having worked establishing culture and people operations as a Chief People Officer in growing businesses in the city.
When her son was born she was introduced to the nanny agency landscape and was amazed at how little support agencies were giving people. Not just in finding good childcare but also the lack of any ongoing support for families and nannies. Entering into an employment relationship can be hard to navigate.
Katie is determined to do things better by bringing her corporate experience to the childcare market.

Gracie Amodio
DIRECTOR OF COMMUNITY
Gracie is a highly experienced nanny having worked with families from all around the world. Gracie has also worked as a senior adoption social worker in fostering and adoption and as a matron in a boarding school.
Throughout her career as a nanny she realised there was a real need to match families with the right child-care and experienced firsthand the struggles families (and nannies) had in finding the right match. Gracie believes in the importance of building a community of nannies by providing ongoing support and a collaborative network.

Ellie Knights
BRAND AMBASSADOR
Ellie is the first Brand Ambassador to join the team at Arthur’s House. Having qualified from Norland College in 2019, she has since been working as a Nanny, Maternity Nurse and Sleep Consultant. She has gained great experience working with a number of families over the years and is best placed to grow our network of brilliant nannies and clients as she’s out ‘in the field’ on a daily basis.

Kristy Fennell
BRAND AMBASSADOR
Kristy has worked in the childcare industry for over 17 years as a recruitment agency owner, nanny, sleep trainer, teacher and more recently a maternity nurse which she still does.
She has acquired various qualifications in the childcare sector including a level 5 certificate in Early Childhood Education, a level 3 certificate in maternity nursing and some training in baby massage. She has worked for many high profile and high net worth families which fortunately has seen her travel extensively for work and allowed her to create a great network of clients and nannies in London and globally which makes her a great asset to Arthur’s House .

Giorgia Vinciguerra
BRAND AMBASSADOR
Giorgia is part of our Ambassador team.
She has been a professional and engaging nanny for many years and has worked in hybrid roles involving PA duties. She has also worked in nurseries and crèche in different countries and is now expanding her experience by working as a governess/PA.
Giorgia is an organised person who puts all of herself into what she does on a daily basis.
She believes that having an open and honest communication between the parents/carers and the nanny is the main ingredient for a successful employment relationship. Working with Arthur’s House to connect families and nannies is something she feels passionate about.

Scarlett Emmanuel-Jones
BRAND AMASADOR
Scarlett is an experienced nanny who possesses extensive knowledge of early childhood development. Having studied child psychotherapy for four years alongside her work as a nanny, she has refined her skills and understanding of the diverse needs of children and their families.
She has experience working with families both privately and in schools.
Scarlett has come to recognise the crucial importance of providing tailored support. She is dedicated to assisting both nannies and families in finding the perfect match for their needs. She is delighted to be part of the Arthur’s House Ambassador team.
Where we work
Our agency is based in Parson’s Green, SW6 where we have a great local network. We also work with clients across London. As we work on each role individually, we can tailor our search to your needs.
We work across all of the inner postcode regions of London including: E, EC, N, NW, SE, SW, W and WC.
